$There\'s a reason Travel + Leisure magazine rated Bass Performance Hall as one of the Top 10 opera houses in the world. It houses the Fort Worth Opera, Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, the Texas Ballet Theater, various touring Broadway shows, and performers such as Lyle Lovett and Tony Bennett. Sure, the architecture of the hall itself is magnificent, but what really sets the Bass apart is its extraordinary acoustics.$

$This is a great way to experience Fort Worth\'s history. The Stockyards was once the second-largest cattle market in the world. The district brims with entertainment, including restaurants, shopping and Wild West performances. Annual events include the Red Steagall Cowboy Gathering and Frontier Forts Days. Daily Cattle drive times: 11:30 am; 4:00 pm. Drives are not held on Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day.$

$The Kimbell\'s permanent collection contains holdings ranging from the third millennium B.C. to the mid-20th century, and includes major works by Fra Angelico, Velazquez, Bernini, Rembrandt, Goya, Monet, Cezanne, Picasso, Mondrian, and Matisse. It is also home to Michelangelo\'s first painting. The collection comprises Asian and non-Western, as well as European art. And in addition to the permanent collection, the museum features special exhibits on display throughout the year. Designed by world-renowned architect Louis Kahn, the museum is often referred to as one of the most epic structures of the 20th century.$

$World-renowned architect Tadao Ando’s “Arbor for Art,\" the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth is a striking building that embodies the pure, unadorned elements of a modern work of art. It is composed of five pavilions of concrete and glass set on 11 naturally landscaped acres, including a 1.5 acre reflecting pond. The Modern maintains one of the foremost collections of postwar art in the central United States, consisting of more than 3,000 significant works of modern and contemporary international art.$

$Fort Worth Zoo is home to more than 500 species of animals, and its wide array of indoor and outdoor exhibits includes World of Primates, Asian Falls, Raptor Canyon, and Thundering Plains. Texas Wild! is a hands-on exhibit that teaches about the state\'s various regions. The Great Barrier Reef takes visitors to the mysterious waters of the Coral Sea. And, the zoo is home to the country’s most elite herpetarium, the Museum of Living Art (MOLA).$
